LOFO (Lost & Found) is an initiative by CIS Alumni to develop a circular, self-sustaining ecosystem for alumni and school apparel made from sustainable materials: finding new homes for old things.

It is an ode to the lost-and-found bins of our child hoods, where lost or missing things are kept until they are found again.

LOFO is a small batch crewneck sweater in a slim modern silhouette, designed by CIS alums.

It is made from discarded CIS school uniforms that have gone through The Billie System, an award-winning technology that deconstructs and upcycles used materials in a waterless process lowering harmful effects to the environment. This is combined with cashmere and recycled cotton that’s insulating and soft to touch.

LOFO is upcycled from old school uniforms… but how is it REALLY made?

LOFO HOMEROOM is made with The Billie System, a Hong Kong-based, award-winning technology that deconstructs garments in a waterless process, reconstituting them into new materials, lowering harmful effects to the environment.

The Billie System involves 6 steps:

1. Textile waste sanitisation
2. Hardware removal
3. Automated colour sorting
4. Fibre processing
5. UV light sanitisation
6. Sliver processing
