Our Class Ambassadors do a lot to help us stay connected with our alumni. But how well do you know them? We asked Reina Lim ’22 a series of questions to find out more about her – her likes, dislikes, quirks, and everything in between.
How do you prefer to start your day?
If I got the energy, I try to put on some music, pick out either a pair of earrings or a garment of clothing that matches my mood for the day, and then proceed with the usual teeth-brushing morning routine.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Simple answer, learning languages. Although I read about someone knowing over 50 languages- he suddenly became hyperaware of all the inevitable mistranslation in the world… So maybe “learning languages” is not a simple answer after all… I would love to juggle!
What advice would you give your younger self?
I’m still a teenager, but I would tell myself to take more photos- to capture the moment! And stay grateful.
If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick?
Pinterest, Photos, and Instagram
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working at the intersection of tech and sustainability.
What’s your fondest memory of CIS?
Every time my cohort dances to the just dance version of Timber- we’ve all got it memorised by now!
What’s your favourite colour?
Purple! It’s a perfect match of warm and cool tones- matches my ambiverted personality.
What’s your worst memory of CIS?
When they cemented all the rocks to the floor in Y1, or when they completely removed them during the remodelling of the Moongate- I loved those rocks.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully still doing something creative!
What songs take you back to your teen years?
Glee covers, among other cool songs, of course. (I might live to regret this answer, but sadly it’s the truth)
