Joyce Lam ’06

Our Class Ambassadors do a lot to help us stay connected with our alumni. But how well do you know them? We asked Joyce Lam ’06 a series of questions to find out more about her – her likes, dislikes, quirks, and everything in between.

What have you been up to since you left CIS?

After working and exploring in Ulaanbaatar, Zimbabwe and Singapore, I moved back to Hong Kong and started a company selling Cold Brew Sparkling Tea to hotels and restaurants! It’s a lot of fun!

Have you travelled anywhere interesting lately?

I’ve been stuck in Hong Kong for the past two years! Does Tai Po count? Went to a restaurant called Billows and the lake view was breathtaking.

How do you prefer to start your day?

A cup of hot coffee, in bed.

What advice would you give your teenage self?

Just be you.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

Yum cha with parents and wake surfing with friends!

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation for sure!!

What’s your fondest memory of CIS?

Hanging out with friends on the floor by the lockers, in circles, & sneaking out to ParknShop / Wan King to buy food!!

What’s your worst memory of CIS?

Seeing 10,000 dead dragonflies all over the stairs, literally everywhere on campus after typhoons.

What’s your favourite snack?

Old Dutch Ketchup Chips!
