CIS Roundtable – A Year to Care: Caring for Oneself

Welcome to the first edition of CIS Roundtable. Our first topic is self-care, arguably the most essential, but also perhaps the least obvious pillar of well-being, personal fulfilment and a meaningful life, particularly in a community like ours where the action of caring is often oriented outwards, in the service other people, the planet and more, and rooted in altruism.

Thank you to our community members who brought such insight and wisdom to the conversation: three CIS upper schoolers from the student-led organisation Peace of Mind (co-founders Hyning ‘22 and Nyassa ‘22 and current head Adelaide ‘23), two members of our educational team (David Barnaby, Head of our Secondary Physical and Health Education Department, and Tim Conroy-Stocker, Head of our Secondary Counseling and Learning Support team), one of our parents (Simmi Malhotra), and our Head of School Sean Lynch.
